After a friend's recommendation, we decided to check out this place post-dinner, and it turned out to be a great choice. I was pleased with the drinks, and what stood out was that they didn't break the bank. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. While whiskey isn't my usual go-to, my husband is a fan, so I opted for the Gray Escape—a delightful blend of St. Germain and Prosecco that proved to be quite tasty. Additionally, my husband took on the challenge of joining the whiskey club, striving to order 50 whiskey pours for admission. Living closer might make this achievable, but the sign-up process added a fun element to our visit. Despite the disappointment of Stagg being unavailable (attributed to a shortage beyond their control), our overall experience was positive.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Very comfortable atmosphere. We got antipasto which was lovely to snack on with our drinks. The moonshine sangria was amazing.

Stopped in here to give myself the rate treat of a nice bourbon or whiskey. What I found was an incredibly knowledgeable bartender who paired me with a nice OR made moonshine that was complex and not overly hot on the finish. My friend tried a cognac cask aged bourbon that was also very good. We were early for happy hour, so I will have to come back to try the food.

This was our second time enjoying Swine. We’ve found that it’s an easy and fun place for us Washingtonians to meet our Portland friends before heading to a show downtown. The cocktail and beer options are great and the food options are good with a few lighter options.

Bricks, boards, and bourbon. This is a neat mix of a sports bar, speakeasy, and modern tavern that's quite cozy to chill and hang around in, particularly if you're staying in the attached hotel. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick with the drinks and food. The calamari are pretty good, though the burgers look delicious, too.

We were heading to the Schnitz for a show, but with an hour to kill thought we'd check out this 'whiskey bar' in The Paramount Hotel. It's a really comfortable space, and the bar staff are really great. While they don't have the same level of offerings as MWL or Scotch Lodge, they do have a good mix of bourbons and single malts and the bartenders are quite knowledgable. Some really good Happy Hour bar food too. Need to make this a regular stop when downtown.

We decided to stop in for dinner after wandering the area a bit and seeing Swine's positive reviews online. Our server, Emily, was welcoming and provided helpful suggestions. The service was quick. The food was tasty. And the menu had some nice options without being overwhelming. The beverage selection is especially impressive- Beyond the cocktail and beer/wines listed on the main menu, there's also a full whiskey menu to thumb through. But we were hungry and more interested in dinner and dessert than whiskey. Aside from a range of shareable choices, there were 3 slider options on the menu. We chose the fried chicken and Kobe beef, saving the pulled pork for another day. The sliders came in pairs, and they were delicious, but the sides were the highlight. We split a side of parmesan truffle fries and Brussel sprouts. The fried foods were done perfectly without being very greasy. The sprouts were crispy and caramelized, with a great finish of balsamic, bacon, and Bleu cheese. And the fries had enough truffle to taste without overpowering. We also tried the Midday Collins and the Glacial Peach cocktails and appreciated that they had a good balance without being too sweet. Then, some tiramisu and Kentucky bourbon bread pudding were a great way to end the meal. Although the bread pudding seemed more like a thick, substantial French toast, it was delicious, especially with the walnut syrup that tasted like a caramel sauce. This felt like a good spot to meet up with a few friends, and I'll be interested in checking out happy hour sometime
